The verdict in one calculation
The strategy solves one problem: it makes it impossible to choose the wrong main Cash Pot number because every number from 1 to 36 is covered. It does not solve the larger problem of ticket cost.
J$280 payout
J$80 loss
J$1,980 maximum payout
J$900 profit
Across many plays
J$300 expected loss
The J$1,980 outcome is possible, not guaranteed. It requires the winning number, Gold Mega Ball, and Red Monsta Ball on the same draw. Buying every main number guarantees only the first part.
What happens if you buy all 36 base numbers?
Cash Pot uses one winning number from 1 to 36. The official minimum base wager is J$10, and the current base payout is J$280 for each winning J$10 wager.
One of those 36 selections must match the main result, but the payout is J$280. The guaranteed result is therefore J$280 returned after J$360 was spent.
This is the first important distinction: a winning ticket is not automatically a profitable ticket. Covering every main number trades selection risk for a known J$80 shortfall.
The cost with Mega Ball and Monsta Ball
To give every number the same full coverage used in this strategy, each of the 36 selections needs three separate J$10 wagers:
- J$10 on the base Cash Pot number.
- J$10 on Mega Ball.
- J$10 on Monsta Ball.
Monsta Ball can only be purchased after Mega Ball, and the Monsta stake cannot exceed the Mega stake. At the minimum amount, each number costs J$30.
Only the one selection matching the main number can produce a payout. The other 35 fully covered selections still lose, so the result of the entire strategy depends on the bonus balls attached to the winning selection.
The four possible bonus-ball outcomes
The official payout examples use J$10 on Cash Pot, J$10 on Mega, and J$10 on Monsta for the winning number. Subtracting the full J$1,080 cost gives these four whole-ticket results:
| Bonus result | Total payout | Net after J$1,080 | Estimated chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| White Mega + White Monsta | J$280 | J$800 loss | 1 in 3 |
| Gold Mega + White Monsta | J$980 | J$100 loss | 1 in 6 |
| White Mega + Red Monsta | J$580 | J$500 loss | 1 in 3 |
| Gold Mega + Red Monsta | J$1,980 | J$900 profit | 1 in 6 |
Gold Mega alone still leaves the complete strategy J$100 short. Red Monsta alone leaves it J$500 short. Under these payout figures, both coloured balls are required for a profit.
What are the chances of both coloured balls?
The Mega Ball chamber contains two White balls and one Gold ball, so Gold has an apparent 1-in-3 chance when each ball is equally likely. The Monsta Ball chamber contains one White ball and one Red ball, so Red has an apparent 1-in-2 chance.
If the two bonus draws operate independently, the estimated chance of both coloured balls is:
This does not create a schedule. Both balls do not have to appear once in every block of six draws. They may appear close together or may not appear for many draws because each draw is a new event.
The long-run cost of the strategy
Using the four payouts and the estimated probability of each ball combination, the average payout can be calculated as follows:
Against a J$1,080 stake, that is an estimated average loss of J$300 per draw, or about 27.8% of the money staked. This is a long-run average, not the exact outcome of any single draw.
A player could make J$900 on one draw and lose J$800 on the next. Repeating the strategy does not turn the 1-in-6 bonus combination into a guarantee.
Practical checks before considering a large ticket
- Confirm all 36 selections: a duplicated or missing number breaks the promised main-number coverage.
- Check every stake: base, Mega, and Monsta are separate wagers on each line.
- Count the full cost: J$1,080 applies to one draw, not the whole day. Repeating it across six daily draws would cost J$6,480.
- Keep the ticket private: do not post a readable barcode or validation details online.
- Verify the current rules: payouts and game conditions can change, so check the official game pages before relying on any calculation.
Use our Cash Pot payout calculator to compare other stake amounts, and read the Mega and Monsta Ball guide before adding bonus wagers.
So, does buying all 36 numbers work?
It works for covering the main number, but it does not work as a guaranteed-profit system. The base-only version guarantees a J$80 loss at the minimum stake. The full Mega and Monsta version can produce a J$900 profit when both coloured balls appear, but three of the four ball combinations leave the overall ticket at a loss.
The strategy is best understood as a high-cost bet on the two bonus-ball outcomes, not a way to beat the random main draw. Decide a firm entertainment budget before playing, never borrow to fund a ticket, and never chase a previous loss.
